As simple as it may sound that is just pain and painkillers will relieve it, trust me this habbit will ever land you into serious health problems. The reason as to why I'm condemning the act is because, a lot of we people do not consider the health problems we already are have before choosing the painkillers we want to use.
For example paracetamol (panodol) as simple as it looks and easy to prescribe can cost and have costed alot of people their livers and kidneys! A lot of opioid analgesics for example codeine and morphine have caused addiction to some patients after they have been discharged from the hospitals leaving them with insomnia (lack of quality sleep).
Another perfect example is aspirin which is an active component in all over the counter painkillers has been associated with most of the ulcers and gastritis cases in a bigger percentage of patients admitted with stomach issues. Therefore it's prudent enough for one to stop misusing these painkillers whenever they feel little pain instead visit a pharmacy store, consult with the pharmacists before requesting for painkillers.
Patients living with ulcers or gastritis should avoid the following painkillers because they tend to accelerated disease process and have less therapeutic value.
1. Brufen
2. All over the counters e.g Mara moja and Sona moja
3. Aspirin
4. Diclofenac
Patients with sleep problems
Avoid the following opioid painkillers because they contribute to lack of sleep.
1. Codeine
2. Morphine
3. Betapyn
People with kidney or liver disease
1. All non-steroidal antiinflammatory drugs e.g brufen, diclofenac and aspirin
2. Acetaminophen (Panadol)
NB: If you have none of the two conditions (liver/kidney disease) avoid taking these painkillers with alcohol because they help each other destroy liver cells.
