Stickers with numbers starting with 4 indicate that the apple was sprayed with pesticides while the plant was still a youngster. Therefore, it is highly advised that the user thoroughly wash the fruit before consuming it.
For instance, if the label number on an apple begins with the number 9, then you know that the apple is organic and has not been sprayed with any harmful chemicals or pesticides. For this reason, only the highest-quality food is fit for human consumption.

Fruits that have been subjected to genetic engineering have had their DNA altered in some way.
